The Position
We're looking for a dedicated Board Member. The compensation for this role is voluntary (unpaid, nonprofit governance position).
- We offer the chance to directly influence policy and Internet & Telecom industry standards at both national and European levels.

Requirements
- Deep passion for the Internet & Telecom industry and a strong commitment to promoting the interests of its businesses.
- Ability to leverage personal networks and connections to benefit the association's fundraising, reputational standing, and public policy advocacy.
- Ability to faithfully read and understand financial statements and prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings.
- Commitment to participating fully in one or more committees or taskforces.
- Strict adherence to nonprofit governance laws, bylaws, confidentiality policies, and annual conflict-of-interest disclosures.
Responsibilities
- Partner in strategic planning to advance the interests of Internet & Telecom businesses across our target regions.
- Support, select, and evaluate the performance of the managing director.
- Serve as an active advocate and ambassador, enhancing the organization's public image with policymakers and stakeholders.
- Help secure the financial resources, partnerships, and collective action necessary to sustain the association's mission.
- Respect diverse regional lived experiences and actively engage in learning opportunities to better serve our diverse geographic footprint.
The Location
The association is based in Europe, at the heart of European policymaking, with direct access to key international institutions. Board meetings may feature virtual/hybrid participation options to accommodate members across our broad geographic scope.
